Opening the World of Learning is a comprehensive Pre-K curriculum that prepares children for Kindergarten with playful, purposeful, and personalized instruction OWL stands out by giving parents the opportunity to strategize their child’s learning throughout the day. While planning and implementing each part of the day, parents are encouraged to be intentional in their actions and words. This intense focus on conversation provides a platform for oral language, critical thinking and vocabulary learning. Through the use of essential questions, parents help children connect content to their experiences, which takes them beyond routine learning and leads to thoughtful, reflective learning. Reading with a child before he or she enters kindergarten can improve his or her chances of graduating high school by as much as 30 percent. This curriculum has been modified specifically for homeschool families. Note that the Language and Literacy Assessment Book mentioned in the Parent Guide is not included in the bundle and is not necessary and will not hinder your child's success with this program.
