The Boxcar Children. ISBN: 9780807508527 IPG Henry, Jessie, Violet and Benny are orphans. They run away because they think they will be sent to live with their mean grandfather, who they never met. Determined to make it on their own, they set out to find a safe place to live. They discover an old, red boxcar that provides shelter from a storm. Against all odds, they make it into their home in order to stay together. When Violet becomes ill, she is cared for at the Dr. Moore’s house and meet a man who is really their grandfather, who has been searching for them. They move into his beautiful home with the old boxcar in the backyard!
