Young Jim Hawkins and his mother own an inn in England where a guest dies and leaves a map to Treasure Island as payment for his room. Treasure Island is where the pirate booty is buried. Jim and local gentry start an expedition on the ship, Hispanola. But soon a mutiny begins lead by Long John Silver, one moment a one-legged sea-cook . . .the next a pirate leader! On the island, there are fights among the pirates and Jim is taken hostage. Soon, Jim returns safely home with the treasure. Jim and each gentry man finds appropriate uses for their treasure, but Jim suffers from his time on the island.
