Lincoln was well-known for his humor and height. It starts with Lincoln's boyhood, moves to his career as a country lawyer, his marriage to Mary Todd, the Lincoln presidency 1861-65, a recounting of the complex issues that led a deeply divided nation to Civil War, and concludes with Lincoln's assassination at Fords Theater on April 14, 1865. He was self-conscious about his lack of education and feared public speaking. You also learn that Mary Todd's family didn't approve of the marriage and that Lincoln was devastated by the death of son, Eddie. It's a real-life, visual portrait of a meaningful American hero.
