HMH Core Skills Social Studies Workbook Grade 4

Integrate history, geography, culture, economics, civics, and government, with Houghton-Mifflin-Harcourt's Core Skills: Social Studies workbook series. Students will practice map and geography skills and work with charts and other graphic devices. Lessons feature short paragraphs and an abundance of graphics (including photos, charts, and maps); students read the paragraph and answer the question that's often based upon the included images. Chapter checkups provide multiple-choice exercises and an open-ended "thinking and writing" question that review the previous chapters. Unit skill builders and unit tests are also included.

In this 4th grade workbook, fifteen lessons are included in seven units, which cover all regions found in the United States. Covering the scope of human interactions through history, students will learn about the Northeast Region, the Southeast Region, the North Central Region, the Rocky Mountain Region, the Southwest Region, and the Pacific Region.
