Rea Berg and Christen Bleschschmid have collaborated once again to create a stunning collection of drawings. Ranging from Cheops' Great Pyramid in 2600 B.C. to the Fall of Rome in 476 A.D. this Time Line features 28 dated illustrations to help your student learn the colorful events of ancient times. Well-known characters such as Abraham, Hammurabi, King Tut, Homer, Pythagoras, Cleopatra, Julius Caesar and many others take their place in relation to great historical events like the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius, the building of the Great Wall of China, the Birth of Christ, and the calculation of the circumference of the earth! Designed to aid students in understanding the chronology of historical events the Time Line will be a useful teaching tool as well as a fun project.
With its dated illustrations of significant events and individuals, students cut and color the detailed drawings and paste them on three 6" x 34" card-stock strips which are scored and able to fold for convenient storage in the student notebook. Many students will mount their completed time lines on the wall. When assembled this time line will stretch to nearly nine feet in length!
