Go beyond the basics of Geometry and investigate the world of planes and solids. Chapter openers and colorful photos invite exploration of geometric solids, triangles, the Pythagorean Theorem, quadratic equations, length, area, and volume. Throughout, Geometry presents short, lively lessons, and illustrated examples. Features include Estimation Activities, Algebra Review, and Geometry in Your Life. Calculator Practice exercises make use of the special features of graphing calculators. Best of all, your child will learn to apply geometry to situations in their own life. Kit includes Student Text, Student Workbook, Teacher's Edition and Parent Guide:

Student Text offers numerous exercises that help students learn how to apply the primary concepts, while step-by-step examples of problem solving strategies provide examples to break concepts into small, manageable sections. Chapter reviews summarize the skills presented throughout the course. Geometry students will be introduced to concepts such as: ruler postulates, parallel lines, congruent triangles, quadrilaterals, rotations, perimeter and area, and more. 539 indexed pages, hardcover.

Student Workbook provides the reinforcement and practice necessary for students to master Geometry. Examples and a variety of problems are included with short directions. 126 non-reproducible pages, softcover.

Teacher's Edition includes chapter planning guides that align the student page numbers, text features, teaching strategies, and learning styles. The daily lesson plans are in the margins around reduced-size student pages that have the correct answers overlaid on the page by each problem. Each lesson starts with an overview and lesson objectives, and includes an introduction to the lesson, a chapter project, a warm-up activity, examples to teach, common errors, helpful tips for differentiating instruction based on learning styles, and various interesting lesson helps such as mental math and math history information. Smaller reduced-size versions of the final and mid-term mastery tests as well as other activities on the (not-included - see note below) teacher's resource CD are also included, with answers in the back of the book as well. 572 pages, hardcover. The included Parent Guide explains how to use the program's components. Note: The teacher's guide references the Skill Track software, a solutions key CD, and a Teacher's Resource Library CD-ROM. These components are not included in this homeschool curriculum package, and Pearson does not currently offer a homeschool kit that includes these components. From Pearson Learning.
